Citizenship by Investment Program of Grenada

Grenada initiated its citizenship-by-investment program in 2013 with the aim of bolstering its economic prosperity. This program enables foreign investors to acquire permanent legal citizenship and a second passport within a relatively short period, typically ranging from 4 to 6 months. Notably, Grenada has established robust diplomatic ties with both the United States and China, positioning itself as the sole Caribbean citizenship by investment program that provides visa-free access to China.

Furthermore, Grenada has entered into an E-2 investor visa treaty with the United States. This treaty affords Grenada passport holders the valuable privilege of working in the United States. These unique features contribute to making Grenada’s citizenship by investment and second passport program stand out among its Caribbean counterparts.

Citizenship by investment in Grenada is available through two options:

  • Option 1: Making a non-refundable contribution to the National Transformation Fund (NTF)
  • Option 2: Investing in an approved real estate project under the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Unit

Benefits of Grenada Citizenship and Passport

Grenada’s citizenship program permits siblings to be sponsored under a single application. Additionally, it does not mandate applicants to undergo a language test, nor is there a requirement for them to reside or visit the country. Holders of Grenada passports enjoy the privileges of voting, property ownership, and the ability to live and work within the country.

Grenada passport holders are privileged to numerous benefits:
  • Enjoy visa-free access to more than 140 countries and territories, including the Schengen zone, the UK, and China.
  • Permitting dual citizenship for greater flexibility
  • Siblings can be sponsored together in a single application.
  • Right to live and work in many other Caribbean countries
  • Citizenship is inheritable, extending to newborns
  • Facilitated access to the US and Canada
  • Non-residents are not subjected to any imposed taxes
  • No residency requirement before or after the grant of the second citizenship
